A good way to find new routes and challenge yourself.

Find out more about Audax events on the national Audax website.
There are also details of local events on the Peak Audax pages.

I’ll be organising a calendar event on 14th March 2020 from Bamford. It’s a challenging route, using some of the best roads in the Peak District. Good company and great views guaranteed. The route can be found here and details of how to enter can be found here . (The route will be slightly different to last year, as we have had to reroute to avoid the collapsed road through Abney. This linked route is the new one, with almost identical distance and climbing.)

As well as calendar events, there are a whole host of Permanent routes. Permanents are basically Audax routes that can be ridden at any time. The advantage being that you can either pick a time to suit yourself, if you have non-standard days off, or you can wait for good weather to complete the ride.

More information can be found on the Audax site. I organise 2 permanents.

Hathersage Elton Roaches route is here. (117km with 2600m climbing from Hathersage)

Grindleford Grimpeur route is here. (108km with 2070m climbing from Hathersage.)
